Staring Blind was formed from members of several successful bands that had a similar creative vision. Band members include: Matt Carver (lead vocals), Willie Carrasco (bassist), Brandon Carrasco (lead guitar) and Tim “Timmy Guns” Andujar (drums).
In the short 1 ½ yrs that Staring Blind has been together they have had great success performing across the southeast to packed clubs and festivals. Most notably, the 72nd Daytona Bike Week, plus events close to their Melbourne ,Fl home, the Cocoa Village Mardi Gras Festival, Downtown Melbourne’s St. Patty’s Day Festival, and the Melbourne Arts Festival.
The band recorded their first demo with Mark Brasel at The Zone Productions in Melbourne FL and recently completed a number of songs with Brett Hestla Productions. Brett has produced several gold record songs and was formerly the touring bassist of Creed, and the lead vocalist of Dark New Day & Virgos Merlot. Staring Blind's songs can be heard and at StaringBlind.com as well as available on iTunes and CD Baby.
Staring Blind is currently working toward their first video project for one of the new tunes called “Black Arm”, a song written for a local tattoo artist; Lee Noland (aka: Black Arm) who will be a contestant on an upcoming season of Ink Masters on Spike TV.
While the band continues performing they are focused on putting together an Armed Forces Entertainment tour for the military service members stationed across the world. The band’s front man, Matt Carver, a former U.S. Army Sergeant, has participated in similar tours across the Middle East in the past years with the band PRC-77 and hopes to share the experience with his new band mates and provide a much needed taste of home to the troops.
A Special Thanks to Luke and Evermore Sound Studios in Orlando, Florida for recording the song exclusively written by the band for the 2013 Leesburg Bikefest Rocks Video. Awesome ears & great studio! Check it out at http://evermoresound.com
